“When I Was Your Man” by Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars’s heart breaks whenever he hears his ex girlfriend’s name. He realizes that he should of bought his her flowers, held her hand, and spent time with her, but he is too late to do all of that because she left him. Then he says he should have taken her to parties because he knows she likes to dance, but he realizes that he was wrong and should not have been selfish. Bruno Mars says he hopes her new boyfriend does the things he didn’t do and, and hopes she has a great time.

“Pray” by Justin Bieber

Children are crying and dying and Justin is asking how can he make a change. Children are in pain because some of them have lost their legs and other body parts. Some soldiers are dying because they have no choice because they will go to jail if they don’t fight for our country. Some children and adults don’t have a home and food and are in the streets holding cardboard signs that say “I’m hungry and poor.” Justin believes that despite everything, there could be sunshine and laughter. I like this video because it shows the truth.

Meek Mill

meek mill

I’m going to write about one of favorite rappers, Meek Mill. He is a rapper from Philly. I’ve been listening to him since he was underground.

In 2009 he signed with a record label called MMG. (by CEO Rick Ross.) I listened to a lot of his music back when he first started but now I only listen to him sometimes. His music has changed, because now he raps about his wealth, but I still listen to him. The one song I really like from him is “Big Dreams” because he talks about how to keep believing in your dreams and how they can happen if you are dedicated. Another song I like from him is “Traumatized” because he explains how hard it is to be raised with no father and to lose so many friends at such a young age.

turn down for what.

WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!! Unfortunately, Spring Break is over, but that doesn’t stop me from bringing you guys these wonderful music reviews! Lil Jon’s “Turn Down For What” features a French DJ named DJ Snake. Now from what I heard and read, the video to this is crazy. I’m a little nervous to see it. Hahaha! This song puts me into a mood where basically I just want to TURN UP! That’s how I was feeling this whole spring break every time I heard this song. Lil Jon is an odd person and for him to make this song and that video, it doesn’t surprise me.

“Flawless” is a song recorded by Beyonce from her fifth album, “Beyonce”, which was released on December 13, 2013. The third verse has lyrics such as “You wake up, flawless. Post up, flawless. Ride round in it, flawless. I woke up like this, I woke up like this!”

In my opinion, Beyonce is….flawless. She is absolutely gorgeous with an amazing voice! Beyonce has been constantly working toward perfection her entire life. She reminds us with audio clips from her childhood when she competed in pageants and talent shows. Beyonce is telling us that she’s bigger than hits, and she’s got far more important things on her mind.

“Here’s To Never Growing Up”

I have a lot of favorite songs, but the song I really love is “Here’s to Never Growing Up” by Avril Lavigne. The song is about wanting to stay forever young and having fun. This song tells me that I want to be young forever-I like acting silly and being loud with my friends. I love having fun, and I never want it to end!
