I’m writing about one of my all time favorite bands-Greenday. They are an American punk rock band that was formed in 1987. They have made very inspirational songs such as “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” , “21 Guns”, and “American Idiot”. Their music relates to a lot of the things I’ve been through, and their music has helped me through a lot.
One very inspirtational song is “Boulevard of Broken Dreams.” It talks about how no matter what, you’re not alone. The song “21 Guns” is about fallen soldiers-it asks them if they feel good or if they want forgivness for killing anyone during war. Their other great song is “American Idiot,” where they talk about the public media persuading the people through t.v reports and the computer. The song tells people to not get distracted by media and tells you be leader not a follower.
Greenday is a very inspirtational band I would recommend for anyone who listens to rock.

“Cut Her Off” is a hip hop song by K Camp. In this song, he is rapping about girls, and how they yell at him and he doesn’t care. He doesn’t really listen to what they say and has no feelings for them.
I think it’s good song to listen to when I’m mad.

I am choosing to write about one of my favorite rappers of all time, Biggie Smalls . He was talented and didn’t just put words together-everything he said in his raps made sense to me.
He was a Brooklyn rapper who rapped about things that were happening in the streets. For example, he explained how the word “Beef” is usually used incorrectly. He said it isn’t just about not liking someone-it’s about hate which can lead to a life-or-death situation. Biggie obviously had beef with 2Pac which led to gun violence, which ended tragically for both parties.

I absolutely love reggae music and I love to dance to it too. One of my favorites is the “Dutty Wine”. The “Dutty Wine” is a Jamaican head dance usually done by young women. There are a handful of girls in Jamaica that claim they were the creators however, it is not known. The Dutty Wine also a song by a dancehall artist named Tony Matterhorn. The dance involves a rotating movement of the neck. Wining is a gyrating movement of the hips. The dancer can also rotate their wrists and neck. I love this song so much. It gets me going. Once I hear this song I want to dance and do the Dutty Wine!!

The FIFA World Cup begins Thursday, June 12, 2014, and ends Sunday, July 13, 2014 and will take place in Brazil this year. In 2010, the FIFA World Cup took place in South Africa where Spain won the final match.
Shakira’s “Waka Waka” was the official song of the World Cup. It was the lead single from the album Listen Up!- The Official 2010 FIFA World Cup. “Waka Waka” has sold more than four million copies worldwide making it the best-selling and the fastest-selling World Cup anthem in the digital age. The song pays tribute to the South African culture-the phrase “Waka Waka” actually means to do something, as in a task. The chorus of the song is written in a Cameroonian language called “Fang”.
The music video to “Waka Waka” is awesome! Shakira shows dance moves that are native to South Africa. The video also features some players of the South Africa soccer team. During the video a young girl sings and dances. I thought that it was nice because she is bringing everyone together, no matter the age or race. The video and song brought everyone together at the FIFA World Cup.
